Mazamas — For the Love of Mountains
Activity Notes
This is a one-day, car-to-car climb. We will meet at the Rockpile Trailhead where, on August 17th, we will depart the parking area at 7:00 AM. The round-trip climb distance is about 12 miles. The overall elevation gain is approximately 3,550 feet. There will be some scree scrambling, but this is not a technical climb. Nonetheless, we will move swiftly to return by 4:00 PM. So climbers must be in excellent condition and know their limits. Those who cannot keep up may be turned back.
I will endeavor to select a team by July 8th, but will keep registration open until August 2nd for a waitlist.
