Activity Notes
Recent BCEP graduates welcome!
A climb of Mt Ellinor, summit 5,952 feet, starts in a lush forest and climbs to beautiful views in the Olympic Mountains. Approximately 6.5 miles and 3,400 feet elevation gain. Dependent upon snow conditions, we plan to ascend via trail and on snow using ice axes and crampons as needed.
We will depart the trailhead early Sunday morning, May 19, 2024. We should be back to the cars by late afternoon. You can either leave Portland very early (3+ hour drive) (not recommended), or come up the night before. We have reserved a campsite at Skokomish on Lake Cushman for the nights of Saturday 5/18 and Sunday 5/19, approximately 30 minutes from the trailhead, if you would like to camp. The camping cost is approximately $20-$30 per climber.
