Larch Mountain Wahkeena Falls Exploration

Activity Notes

We will explore the newly re-opened trails: Up and Down Larch Mountain Trail from Multnomah Falls Lodge.  We will loop back via Wahkeena Creek.  

This promises to be a difficult hike.

Be prepared for fire-damaged trails, rock fall, rock slides. Hiking poles recommended, microspikes also recommended.  Snow not expected, but watch the forecast for 4000 feet in case snowshoes are needed.

There is a chance of rain, so bring rain gear.

Wilderness -- Limit 12 participants. Meet at the Mazama Mountaineering Center at 527 SE 43rd Avenue, Portland, Ore.
