This activity is based out of Horseshoe Bend Campground in the Umpqua National Forest that is a great jumping off point for a variety of different adventures.

Activity Notes

An AYM tradition continues and we will explore new territory! We will spend Labor Day Weekend at the lone group campsite at the Horseshoe Bend Campground in Umpqua National Forest. This will serve as our three-night base camp for explorations from basic to strenuous difficulty levels; both, along the North Umpqua River as well as hikes around Mt. Bailey, Mt. Thielsen, and our coveted National Park, Crater Lake.

Plan on a full holiday weekend of hikes, exploration, friendship, shared food, and a strong sense of community. This is somewhat of a long drive so please plan to at least take a half a day off of work on Friday if you can! If you can't leave early, just come later on Friday, there will be plenty of space to setup your tent.

A few weeks before the trip, access to a Google sheet to sign up for carpools, potluck, and shared gear will become available.

If you have any questions before registering before the trip, please e-mail me at: mikekacmar@yahoo.com
