Activity Notes

Get back outside after winter! We will explore the Hoyt Arboretum and visit Pittock Mansion's viewpoint 9we will not go inside). Hopefully there will be some good flowers blooming! This hike is open to all, including first-timers. Invite your friends who've always wanted to try the Mazamas! We will go a slow-moderate pace.

We will meet at the Hoyt Arboretum Visitor Center and start hiking at 10:30A.M. There is a parking fee if you drive, but the Visitor Center is also accessible via TriMet Blue and Red MAX Lines, TriMet Bus 63, and the free Washington Park Shuttle Bus.

6 miles, 900' gain, 960' high point

***Minorities tend to experience higher amounts of stress. There's also lots of evidence that spending time outside in nature and socially engaging outside of work can reduce stress levels. Therefore, I highly encourage and welcome race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, economic, religious, and all other minorities to join me on my hikes!
