With beautiful views, amazing spring wildflowers, and a relatively short effort, this is one of the most popular hikes in the Gorge. On a good day, you can get a view of Mt. Hood and the Columbia River.

Activity Notes

We'll carpool from the MMC parking lot departing at 7:30am, or you can meet us at the trailhead at 8:30. A NW Forest Pass or America the Beautiful Pass is required to park at the trailhead.

We will go up the steeper of the two trails for a good workout. Depending on conditions and group consensus, we will return by either the other side of the loop or via the Augspurger Trail which adds just under a mile but is easier on the knees
