Mazamas — For the Love of Mountains
Activity Notes
We will be climbing the Hotlum-Bolam Ridge route, spending the night half way up the route on day one, and summiting then descending all the way back to the cars on day two. There will be some glacier travel and sections of steep snow climbing on this climb. Fitness will be a key consideration to being accepted on this climb.
Each climber will be required to purchase a Summit Pass in Mt Shasta prior to the climb. Current cost is $25.00 for a one time pass. No pass, no climbing!
It sounds like the road to the trailhead requires vehicles with decent clearance. Plan accordingly.
