This is a full day in the field practicing rock skills. Held at Horsethief Butte, you'll get the opportunity to apply the skills you learned indoors on actual rock. The day will include movement basics, belaying, rappelling, traversing, fixed line travel, and more.

Activity Notes

Horsethief Butte Rock Session is your opportunity to practice your rock climbing skills and techniques outdoors. We are going to have several climbing and rappel routes set up. Once each student completes the required skills, they are usually welcome to climb other teams areas (make sure that there is an instructor running a station)
