Activity Notes

Come along for a beginner bikepack by the Deschutes River. We'll start at Heritage Landing and cycle along an old trestle to an abandoned ranch in the high desert. After enjoying spring sunset, we'll pitch tents to spend the night, then return in the morning.

  • Saturday: Cycle Deschutes River Trail (12 mi)
  • Sunday: Return to car (12mi)

This will be a bikepack trip along a wide, flat gravel trail. Suspension is comfy but any hybrid/mountain bike can work. We'll only go if weather is reasonably clear and ice-free for biking, based on two day forecast.

Carpool from Mazamas Mountaineering Center, Saturday 6:30am. Capped at eight riders. 12 miles each way, ~500’. 196 miles driving RT.
