Throughout 2019, the Mazamas will celebrate 125 years of loving and protecting the mountains! Founded on the summit of Mount Hood on July 19, 1894, the Mazamas promotes mountaineering, conservation, education, and scientific research. This significant anniversary is an incredible opportunity to share the Mazamas long and amazing history, as well as the organization’s contemporary relevance. As we honor the members who have made the Mazamas what they are today, we also celebrate those who continue to work for the future.

On this page, you will find links to all the activities, events, and publications that mark the Mazamas 125th anniversary. We hope you will browse through this information to learn more about our history and who we are today.
